My random Epcot superstition
This is weird, but I’ve had this little superstition for years now… If I’m walking into the park from the Epcot parking lot, and I hear the Soarin’ music (as part of the Entrance Plaza loop) first, before any other music, I will have a great day.
I can’t remember how or why it started, but over the past year or so, I haven’t really thought about it much.
Yesterday I parked, feeling kind of blah. I was just having a feeling I was going to have a very “meh” day. As I approached security, I smiled, because I could hear the Soarin’ music, and I remembered by silly superstition.
And wouldn’t you know it, I had a fantastic day. The big reason I thought it wouldn’t be so good… well, didn’t happen. I guess the Soarin’ music really is good luck for me.
“As much as I loved Brave, I would have loved it a lot more if it had come out when I was little. My hair used to be as crazy as Merida’s and if it had come out when I was little, I would have felt better about my hair being crazy and curly.”
Ever seen the fountain at Hong Kong Disneyland, sitting right outside at the entrance to both HKDL and to the other planned/upcoming park for the resort? It features the Fab Five seemingly having a wet and wild day in the water. Minnie with a beach ball, Goofy in his swimming trunks, Donald upset at his dinghy sinking, and Mickey surfing on top of a whale’s blowhole.
Pluto, the attention hound he is, plays with the metal fish. Or are the fish practicing synchronized water spitting, with Pluto conducting them? Yet another unsolved mystery. Oh if I could only have the Pluto model as seen at DHS’s One Man’s Dream exhibit…
